Castle Cottage, on Renvyle Bay, Connemara, is situated 100 metres from the sea and within a stone's throw of the impressive ruins of one of the castles (associated with the 'pirate queen' Grace O'Malley) which were established along the west coast of Ireland in the 16th century. It is off a minor cul-de-sac road.
Using all the beds, there is sleeping accommodation for 10. The cottage is therefore suitable for two families to share. We particularly welcome families with small children, for whom there is a collection of books in the Children's Room as well as toys and board-games. In keeping with its peaceful and unspoilt surroundings it does not have a TV or telephone. It stands in its own large garden, safe for children, and has parking space for at least two cars.
